Keep your battery voltage levels high whilst reflashing. The 12pin reflash plug is the reflash voltage line, and this uses the voltage directly from your cars battery, and not from your laptop. Some mitsubishi's in particular are very fussy when it comes to reflash voltage. So even if the car has enough voltage to start, it may not be enough voltage for the reflash portion of the diagnostic cable. Therefore I highly recommend that you have a battery charger connected whilst doing reflashes, or have the car run for at least 1 hours driving to get the battery voltage level really high.
